M
ary Solomon is the District Stroke Coordinator for Grey and Bruce Counties in Southwestern Ontario. Mary graduated with B.Sc. in physiotherapy from Queen’s University in 1977 and recently completed Masters in Rehabilitation Science at the University of British Columbia. She has worked as a physiotherapist in spinal cord and stroke rehabilitation, home care, small community hospital and long term care. In her role as district stroke coordinator, Mary works closely with public health and other partners on health promotion and chronic disease prevention and management initiatives including the Grey Bruce CDPM Tool Kit. Mary currently is the Chair of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Neuroscience Division and is actively working with international partners to form the International Neuroscience Physiotherapy Association. Mary has a special interest in Active Living and community re-engagement for individuals with disabilities.
